My Artist Statement
Heather Mitcham is a Virginia Beach native who balances many roles in life- she is an artist, a mother, a dog mom, a server, and a beach bum. Propelled forward by curiosity and experimentation, Heather is constantly creating. If you asked her, she would tell you printmaking is her true love but she dabbles in all things artistic. Her work is marked by bright colors and odes to nature. Her interest in repurposing materials and unsuspectingly beautiful objects spills over into her works.
